2010 is shaping up to be a year of building and growth for the CRC. We have several leadership seminars planned for this year that will challenge us in new ways. The first issues of the CRC Journal have been very well received. Let us know if you want complimentary copies for your church. The workshops on C. S. Lewis and Martin Luther were well attended. Likewise, the series on The Business of the Church and the Writing Seminar were exciting new opportunities that helped a lot of people refine their knowledge and skills for their respective churches and ministries.
In the busyness of all these plans, I am reminded of the admonishment of the Apostle Paul to not be weary in well doing. I need to maintain a balance in both my public as well as private life—a balance that is sensitive to my physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. I am reminded to pray for wisdom, knowing that on my own, I would not be able to accomplishment anything worthy of God’s kingdom.
Here at the CRC, we are striving for this balance in our lives and want to help you in yours. We are listening to you, the pastors and leaders of churches in Southern West Virginia. We want to continue to provide resources and materials that will encourage and inspire you as you strive for excellence in your respective ministries. Please let us know ways in which we have been an encouragement to you in the past and ways in which we can be of further benefit to you or your churches in the future. May God bless you and yours during this new year!
